We fitted new beads to the corners and edges, then put on a scratch coat followed by a finishing coat, and bedded the pots back in. Once it had dried, we painted it white. The stack is now sealed against the weather and looks smart again. Chimney need some attention? We stripped the tiles back on both sides, took out the old lead and laid new underlay and a new lead valley. The original tiles then went back on so the roof still matches. Where the small tiled slope meets the brick wall, we fitted new stepped lead flashing and pointed it into the brickwork. Tiles or a valley need attention? We stripped it back to the timber boards and checked the deck before starting again. We then torched on new layers of felt, finishing with a mineral top layer, and dressed it up the walls and round the edges so the roof sheds water properly. Need a new flat roof? We took them down, checked the eaves and fitted new white gutters and brackets right round the house. The new gutters run cleanly to the downpipes, so rainwater is carried away from the walls as it should be. Gutters need replacing? We stripped it right back, fitted new joists and laid a new deck with new timber upstands and a new outlet.
